Shelby + Jacob / Maternity

November 24, 2009

Shelby + Jacob just so happen to be the owners of one of my all time favorite vintage retail stores, Redemption Garb.  The majority of the vintage fashion featured in my engagement sessions were aquired at this amazing little store. Its kind of like Etsy’s closet! And now for more than a few of my favorite images from their session…

You may remember Siohban and Sean’s amazing vintage inspired maternity session which can be viewed here. A few weeks later Ethan has officially joined the family. Here are a few of my favorite images from this little man’s session.

Tahni + Joseph / Enagement

November 21, 2009

When Tahni first contacted me about her wedding she said to me, and I quote, “I’m not sure if you would be interested but I am planning a bohemian/vintage/gypsy-traveler/garden/artist themed wedding and we think you are the perfect photographer for the job!” I’m not quite sure what a “bohemian/vintage/gypsy-traveler/garden/artist themed wedding is but I will take TWO please!

With no signs of the downpour letting up any time soon we decided to hold up in a local coffee shop to wait it out a bit. The rain didn’t let up but I am pretty darn happy with what we achieved considering the entire session took place in a 7×7 poorly lit corner in that charming little coffee shop…

Album Preview

November 17, 2009

I aim tirelessly at finding new ways to improve my client experience and it seems I have been up for days on end working on a few very exciting projects that I hope will do just that. The first is a new and much improved way of allowing clients to not only proof their albums but also share them with friends and family worldwide!

Here is a great engagement album I recently worked on for Sheena and Brandon who had their amazing session in Honduras! See the album here.

Kim + Steven / Day After

November 10, 2009

They say its good luck if it rains on your wedding day. But what if it rains the day after? No clue. But we will hope for the best just in case.  ;-) A special thanks to Kim and Steven who recognized the evil grin on my face when it began pouring down just minutes into their “day after” session and answered with a smirk of their own…

Okay, first let me say how very difficult it was choose a winner. I received so many more inquires than I could have ever imagined. Each couple with such a unique story it was near impossible to decide. I am so grateful for my life. That I get to do what I love. There are quite simply no words to describe my gratitude. And now without further adieu, the winner of my first ever give away goes to oh so cool Kathy and Tony of Orange County!!

I chose Kathy and Tony because in many ways I could deeply relate to their story. Sometimes love can be a very complicated process. Who are we kidding, it usually is. For those who endure awaits a wonderful life of three day weekends, midnight Ben & Jerry’s excursions, and in the end no one deserves to watch Grey’s Anatomy alone…
