I wish I could have attended. I continue to learn even at my age that God’s plans are not always my plans.

I hope you don’t mind, but I’d like to bless you with a little wisdom from my life-a nugget to take into account for a long fulfilled marriage ahead for the both of you.

Here goes….

Marriage is not 50/50%. It’s rarely that. Drop any expectations with those false perceptions. It actually varies day by day, weekly, monthly and by seasons in your life.

Next nugget: Selfishness is in my opinion the #1 cause of most disagreements and troubles in any marriage. Any time you two are having a struggle with one another, stop, self assess if you are being selfish, and if so confess it to the Lord and one another.

These two nuggets will help so much in your future. I wish I would have known them up front when I was married.
